I played this in school, boys game options was rugby or rugby, it toughened us all up. Yes we played the same sets of rules as international rugby and got hit hard and got injured occasionally, you just shrugged it off and ready to re-join the action. We had teachers who had retired from rugby and they joined in and tackled hard and we loved playing even the end of the year match against teachers. But we all knew who was in charge the referee, what the referee said, went no arguing or disputing a decision which taught us discipline.

..it is fascinating how they derogatory name calling of certain jobs has shifted. Back in the day, if someone wanted to insult you...they referred to you as the "Garbage Man"...which is a perfectly honorable, necessary occupation for all of society...yet they used it as an insult. But that has somehow shifted...and the new go-to-term is "Hamburger Flipper". So many people who use Fast Service Restaurants....some who live on FS food....and yet they still refer to people in that business derogatorily as "Burger Flippers"? I don't get that? Millions of people use those type of honorable jobs to supplement their family income, as employment while in school...and they generate huge amounts of revenue, profits and taxes for society...yet they are the butt of jokes and mean slights? Very strange.
